Something that is very interesting to me is the art of makeup. Makeup can be worn in an ever day look, special occasion look, and even special effects look. My favorite type of makeup to do is an evening look with dark, dramatic colors.

My makeup is the first thing I do in preparation of going out to a rock show. I start out with the Stila Cosmetics One Step Primer to prime my skin for my foundation. I then use a beauty blender to apply Tarte’s Foundcealer, a foundation and concealer in one bottle. I finally top off my base with Younique’s translucent finishing powder. 

I then prime my eyelids with Urban Decay’s eyeshadow primer. Using a combination of colors from Morphe’s Natural Glow Eyeshadow Pallette, I create my eyeshadow look for the night. Finally, I use Youique’s 4D Mascara to add a little volume and length to my eyelashes. 

Makeup can be frustrating, but it brings out creativity and a challenge. I watch different YouTube makeup artist videos to learn new techniques. One particular artist I watch is Jeffree Star. One of my favorite videos by Jeffree is below. 

Marketing communications can be a wide array of different things. It can be emails, commercials on television, or even advertisements in the mail. Google produced a great advertisement that aired during the 2019/2020 Super Bowl.

I would throughly enjoy creating advertisement campaigns like the one above. These campaigns draw the consumer in by appealing to their different emotions. My mom cries at almost every commercial.

One specific tool that I currently use in my day to day work is called Concep Send. This tool sends email campaigns to our firms subscribers. We send event invitations, blog posts, and firm news though Concep Send. An example of one of the firm’s event invitations is below.

I currently work full time for a law firm, Butler Snow, as a Marketing Coordinator. I am involved in developing the website, writing attorney biographies, and creating branded presentations. My favorite aspect of my job is creating the branded presentations. 

Creating presentations for attorneys can be hard work, but it is rewarding at the same time. I enjoy being able to be creative and design the presentation to look as professional as possible. I have used programs including Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Sway, and Adobe PDF to create presentations.

My favorite program to use is Microsoft Sway because it gives the user the most creative freedom. The writer can insert images, video clips, and audio recordings. The images and video clips can be uploaded to the presentation directly from the Internet. The video below explains how to use Sway.

Presentations are one of the creative aspects of my current position, Marketing Coordinator. Using presentation software helps me accurately do my job and convey my professionalism. 

My name is Anna Davis but I go by McKenzie. I am a junior at Troy University, and majoring in Global Business with a concentration in Marketing. My goal is to graduate by 2024 with my degree.

I currently work full time as a Marketing Coordinator for a law firm in Birmingham, Alabama. My work includes updating attorney biographies, analyzing and reporting on marketing data, and creating branded presentations.

In my free time, I like to spend time with my family and dogs. I spend most of my summers at my parents lake house. My dogs, Ellie and Kaden love to ride on the boat, and Ellie makes my aunt push her around the lake. During football season, you will find me in Tuscaloosa, Alabama cheering for the Tide.

My hobbies include going to see live music and hanging at the dog park with my dogs. The Twenty One Pilots was one of the best shows I have been to. I follow a local band called Parris and go to almost every one of their shows.
